Good morfterevening, fellow bookworms!
A few years ago I created my own little bookmark and only recently did I come across it again. It filled me with joy and reminded me of how creative I could be as a dedicated reader. Essentially, you can fold a college ruled paper page in halves 3 or 4 times, depending on how thin you want the bookmark. You can probably fold more or less depending on how big/small you want the bookmark to be. You then cut along the folds on the paper and use glue to stick two of the pieces together. I used glue stick so i wouldn’t have glue coming out the edges and there wouldn’t be lumps on the paper.
Once you’re happy with how the bookmark is built you can do whatever you want on it- be creative! This bookmark is a canvas for you to fill with whatever makes you happy. Whenever you reach for your book and turn to the page with the bookmark you’ll get that jolt of cheerfulness that came with creating the bookmark. What I did was every time I finished a book I would find my favorite short quote and write it on the bookmark so by the time I finish two or three books one side of the bookmark is completely filled. It was a proud little moment of accomplishment whenever I wrote a quote on there. It’s also a great way to look back and reminisce on the books I have forgotten about.
If you do this yourself please include pictures in the comments- I’d love to see what you all come up with.
